Mario Pharr’s passion for basketball began at an early age. Pharr has an extensive amount of experience with over 15 years coaching on all levels,  from AAU to professional, as well as two years under legendary NC State women's coach Kay Yow. At Blue Lights College, Pharr strives to develop and enhance the fundamentals of each player, as well as increasing basketball IQ in order to help push athletes and the team to the next level on and off the court. He is extremely excited about this God-ordained opportunity and will do all he can to please Him, his family, and the entire Blue Lights family. 

Pharr obtained a bachelor’s degree in education from North Carolina State University in 2008 and his second degree in sport management in 2016. Mario and his wife, Nicole, reside in Raleigh, NC and have two beautiful daughters, Madison and Morgan.
