Excitement is running high as Blue Lights College prepares for its first post-season appearance, tipping off Thursday at 1:00 pm against Crown College (TN) in the opening round of the Bible College National Invitational Tournament in Mount Hope, West Virginia.
"Practice has been great," beamed head coach Mario Pharr. "We've had scrimmages and special guests to help us stay sharp, focused, and unified. In practice, we've been sharpening up on the things we struggle with at times and continuing to perfect the things we're pretty good at." Pharr specified boxing out, full- and half-court traps, and closeouts as some of the areas he has been stressing in practice.
"We've been watching film and discussing the teams we prepare to play, so we're ready to win this tournament!" added the ever-understated Pharr.
Appalachian Bible College, the host of this year's event, has announced it will live stream each game of the tournament on its athletics Facebook page, facebook.com/ABCWarriors/.
