History was made in Charlotte on Sunday as the Blue Lights College women's basketball team had its first ever intercollegiate competition.
The young squad, led by coach Madison Jordan, performed well against a seasoned Johnson & Wales team that won last year's EMAC championship and advanced to the USCAA semifinals.
The Thoroughbreds' stamina will be tested throughout the season with only seven members on the team.
Their busy preseason continues when they open a three-scrimmage-in-three-day stretch on Thursday at Brunswick Community College in Supply, NC.
