The Blue Lights College Thoroughbreds have entered a cold January, if not on the thermometer then certainly on the basketball court.

On Wednesday afternoon, the men's basketball team fought back from a 12-point first half deficit only to lose that lead in the final minute and fall to Trinity Baptist College 78-75.

"It took us a while to settle in to who we are," coach Mario Pharr said after the game. "We need to play well a whole 40 minutes. We have some ways to go, but I can see them coming together."

Vic Ngong led BLC with 16 points. J.B. Ezzell-Upchurch had 14, 12 coming in the first half. Kenny Anderson poured in 13 points, 12 coming from the arc.

Trinity's Joel de los Santos led all scorers with 20 points.

The Thoroughbreds dropped an 89-80 score to Central Carolina on Tuesday night.

BLC is back in action this Saturday at 2:00 pm at Piedmont International University in Winston-Salem.
