Blue Lights College put six players in double figures and needed them all in a 98-90 win at Carolina Christian College on Saturday afternoon.
The Thoroughbreds led by one, 50-49, at halftime. JB Ezzell-Upchurch was prolific at the free throw line, scoring nine of his 14 points there and all but two in the second half.
BLC (8-9) defeated the Centurions 93-77 in Apex on January 14 and have won the last four meetings between the two schools.
Jawan Browder led the Thoroughbreds with 17 points, while Chris Dickey claimed 15, Ezzell-Upchurch and Chance Jamison each added 14, Devon Allicott had 13, and Kenny Anderson Jr. chipped in 13.
CCC guard Johnathan Cunningham, whom BLC held to just four points in their last meeting, carried the load for the Centurions with 29 points.
The Lights return home to Hope Community Church to host Appalachian Bible College on Tuesday, January 28 at 6:00 pm.
