Blue Lights College is pleased to announce the appointment of Brandon Rosas as its new wrestling coach starting immediately.

Rosas comes to the Thoroughbreds with more than 10 years of experience as a middle school and high school coach and referee. Brandon received his USA Wrestling bronze-level coach and referee certifications in 2014. Most recently, from 2014 - 2017, he served as an assistant coach in California with the Los Gatos High School Wrestling and club teams. During his time there the team improved their conference and sectional placements each year, moving up from 6th in conference to 2nd and from 35th in their section to 6th. Additionally, he helped coach six conference champions, one sectional champion, two California state qualifiers, and a Fargo Greco All-American.

"I am very pleased to have someone of Brandon's stature and character as part of the Blue Lights' family," said athletic director Mike Davis. "His passion for coaching and mentoring young people shines through."

BLC is rebooting its wrestling program after a year off. The Herd competes as a member of the National Collegiate Wrestling Association and the very competitive Mid-Atlantic Wrestling Conference.
