The Blue Lights College Men’s Basketball team hosted NSAC rival, Carolina Christian College (CCC) at Hope Community Gym Tuesday evening. Blue Lights lit up out of the gate, jumping out to a double digit lead against the Centurions. However, the game would be one of runs for both teams as CCC continued to chip away at the lead using a charge of hot hand shooting from George and Groings. BLC led throughout the game until the Centurions on a put back by George, took the lead for the first time with less than six minutes left in the contest. The Thoroughbreds would answer with many threats on the night crossing the finish line of regulation against a tough opponent with a 111-102 win. The Thoroughbreds are now 1-1 in the NSAC.
